Who can provide a story?
Anyone can provide a story. You must be 18 years or older to be tattooed.
We’re looking for stories where a love of Duke’s has been passed through the generations via a family member, friend, etc. For example, does your Grandmother use Duke’s in her potato salad or does the taste of sun-ripened tomatoes take you back to summers on your Uncle Wayne’s farm where you experienced your first tomato sandwich with Duke’s Mayo? Or maybe you discovered Duke’s working your first job because it was the only mayo your mentor used. So if you have a story, we want to hear it!
What happens once I submit my story?
Submissions will be reviewed by Duke’s and then the most compelling stories will be selected to receive tattoos.
Is there a deadline for submission?
October 12, 2023 midnight ET is the deadline.
What day are the tattoos happening?
Tattoos will happen between 11/10 and 11/17 – exact date TBD.
How will I know if my story was chosen?
You will be contacted by a Duke’s Mayo representative to discuss your story, and if selected, get you scheduled.
Will we actually get tattoos?
Yes
Where will I be tattooed?
Yellow Bird Tattoo at 2402 W Main St, Richmond, VA 23220
Do I get to pick my own tattoo?
Tattoos will be custom to your story. So both parties within each story will get the same custom tattoo.
How will I know what my tattoo will look like?
Anyone getting a tattoo will need to come to an in-person consultation appointment at Yellow Bird Tattoo to discuss the design.
Do I need to live in Richmond? And if not, are there any travel compensations?
No you do not have to live in Richmond. If you are not within a 2 hour drive of Richmond, you could receive a $250 travel voucher
Will I need to pay for the tattoo?
The cost of the tattoo is on us, but the tattoo will be on you.
