Duke's Mayo to Sponsor BBOC during a 4-series Black Food Truck Competition to kick-off the Duke's Mayo Classic. $8,000 in grants to be awarded to winning Food Trucks
Charlotte, NC June 1st, 2022: Black Business Owners Corp (BBOC), and Duke’s Mayo, the premium southern condiment brand that has set the bold standard of mayonnaise since 1917, are joining forces to bring Charlotte a 4-series food truck competition “Crownin’ QC’s Best Black Food Truck” presented by Duke’s Mayo, to kick-off the highly anticipated Duke’s Mayo Classic! Local Black-owned food trucks will go head-to-head serving up their best Duke’s Mayo inspired dishes! Crownin’ QC’s Best Black Food Truck” presented by Duke’s Mayo will occur during BBOC’s most popular event; Black Food-Truck Fridays™ and will be held June 17th, July 22nd, & August 12th at West Complex CLT (1600 West Trade St), with the final cook-off taking place during the Duke’s Mayo Classic’s FANFEST on September 3rd at Bank of America Stadium.
The “Crownin’ QC’s Best Black Food Truck'' competition will have an immense impact on local Black-owned Food Trucks, who were disproportionately affected at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Competitors will receive a plethora of Benefits including; 1-on-1 interviews, Media mentions, Signage, and a Cash Prize! The 1st place Winner of the competition will receive a $6,000 grant and the 2nd place winner will receive a $2,000 grant, courtesy of Duke’s Mayo & BBOC. The Winners will be announced on the field during halftime of the Duke’s Mayo Classic; a college football game featuring longtime HBCU rivals; NC A&T & NC Central!
BBOC is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to empowering Black-owned businesses and underserved communities. The org has hosted over 100 major events since its founding in 2014 and drives $9 Million a year back into the pockets of Black-owned businesses and the overall Charlotte Community.
