Duke’s Mayonnaise Family Ties Contest Rules and Regulations

Describe to us in a video or essay how Duke’s has helped make your favorite family memories. Perhaps you have fond remembrances of helping grandma whip up your favorite dish made with Duke’s, or maybe Duke’s is the only thing your family can agree upon. Whether it’s Duke’s that adds that something special to your holiday table, or what you use to make comfort foods for your loved ones, we want to hear about it.

Video submissions must be no more than two minutes.

Essays (email or hand-written) must be no more than 500 words and include a photo.

SUBMISSION PROCESS:

Option 1: Go to YouTube (www.youtube.com) to upload your entry and title it with “Duke’s Mayo Family Ties 09” in addition to your first initial and last name. Example: Duke’s Mayo Family Ties 09: J. Smith. Fill out an entry form and either email it to dukesmayo@allisonpr.com or mail it separately to: Duke’s Mayo Family Ties Contest, c/o Allison & Partners, 505 Sansome Street, 7th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94111.

Option 2: Email your essay with a photo(s) and entry form to dukesmayo@allisonpr.com. Title the email subject line with “Duke’s Mayo Family Ties 09” in addition to your first initial and last name (example: Duke’s Mayo Family Ties 09: J. Smith.)

Option 3: Mail your submission in essay form with a photo(s) or on a CD or DVD with an entry form (found here) to: Duke’s Mayo Family Ties Contest, c/o Allison & Partners, 505 Sansome Street, 7th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94111.

DEADLINE: All YouTube entries must submitted by 11:59 p.m. EST, January 31, 2010. All CD/DVD recordings must be postmarked no later than January 31, 2010. Entry forms must be postmarked no later than January 31, 2010.

PRIZES: The Grand Prize winner will receive food and beverages for a Duke’s Mayonnaise-catered family reunion picnic to be held between April 2010 and September 2010. Additional prizes include Duke’s Mayonnaise cookbooks, t-shirts and a year’s supply of Duke’s Mayonnaise. The winner will also be featured on a limited-edition jar and their story will appear on www.dukesmayo.com.

Second and third place winners will receive a Duke’s gift pack complete with a Duke’s t-shirt, cookbook and hat.

Contestants may submit an entry through one of the following methods:

A panel of judges will evaluate entries and select a Grand Prize winner and two alternates. Incomplete entries will not be judged.

Entry Requirements: Video submissions must be no longer than two minutes. Written entries must be no longer than 500 words and must contain a photo. Any entries containing profanity or derogatory statements will be disqualified. All entries become the property of The C.F. Sauer Company, which reserves the right to edit, adapt, publish, use and/or utilize in advertising.

Judging: A panel of judges will evaluate all entries to determine the best story. If the judges determine that no entry meets their minimum standards, The C.F. Sauer Company reserves the right to not award a prize. The decision of the judging panel is final.

Prizes: The Grand Prize entry will receive food and beverages for a Duke’s Mayonnaise-catered family reunion picnic (maximum value: $800) to be held between April, 2010 and September, 2010, Duke’s Mayonnaise cookbooks, T-shirts and a year’s supply of Duke’s Mayonnaise. He/she will be featured on a limited-edition Duke’s Mayonnaise jar and his/her story will appear on www.dukesmayo.com. Second and third place winners will receive a Duke’s gift pack complete with a Duke’s T-shirt, hat and cookbook. Their stories may also appear on www.dukesmayo.com.

All winners will have their story, name and image promoted in Duke’s Mayonnaise marketing and public relations activities.

Entries must be postmarked no later than January 31, 2010 and videos must be uploaded no later than 11:59 p.m. EST on January 31, 2010. The C.F. Sauer Company is not responsible for late, lost, illegible, mutilated, postage due, misdirected, stolen or otherwise undelivered entries. Contestants may enter as many times as they wish.

Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older as of date of entry. Employees, immediate family (parent, child, sibling, spouse, etc.) or household members of C.F. Sauer employees are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited or otherwise regulated.

Conditions of Participation: All participants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decision of the judges. The C.F. Sauer Company reserves the right to supplement or change the contest rules prior to December 15, 2009, to void any entries submitted in contravention of the rules and to cancel this contest at its sole discretion. The C.F. Sauer Company reserves the right to disqualify an entry under suspicions of inappropriate behavior. Participants agree to hold harmless the owners of The C.F. Sauer Company, their employees and/or agents and their employees’ immediate families of any damages, losses, or injuries of any kind resulting from participation in the contest or lost or misdirected prizes. Winners grant permission (and agree to confirm that grant in writing) for The C.F. Sauer Company and those acting under its authority to use the name, hometown, photograph or likeness of all people in any submitted photos and videos for advertising, trade, and/or publicity purposes without additional compensation, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide and on the Internet, without notice, review or approval.
